HCFS representatives concentrate on one goal – establishing and securing third party payors. They are trained, friendly professionals that follow patients through the entire documentation and claim process, even meeting patients at home to expedite the process. Supported by our enterprise database and reporting systems, they have specific knowledge of third-party payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, out-of-state Medicaid, Indian Health, commercial insurance carriers, and Social Security Income (SSI) recovery.

Recruited from hospitals, insurance carriers, and state government, HCFS representatives know both sides of the fence. They must also successfully complete the industry’s most comprehensive set of training programs. Our Training Center includes specific federal, state, county, and third-party payor training, systems and process training, hospital-specific regulations and systems, and information privacy (HIPAA) training, as well as competency and fraud knowledge assessments.

We work for you, and our follow-up can follow your cases anywhere. Armed with proprietary tools and broad knowledge, HCFS personnel overcome the barriers and complexities that many payors have introduced to the process. We uncover errors and the reasons for denial, and work to reverse or correct these to achieve payment. Our people also identify patient deductibles, co-pays, and other items that the facility may bill to the patient.
On the hospital's behalf, we re-bill all accounts on out-of-state-Medicaid. And although HCFS personnel benefit from established rapport with most payors, that's only a starting point. If our courteous approach fails to resolve valid claims, we follow all avenues available to secure payment, including administrative proceedings or legal action, if necessary.
